The 2021 Titans Junior Series moved to Redlands for its third round after great tournaments at Gold Coast and Toowoomba touch. It was the largest 'Arthur Davis Cup' ever hosted by Redlands Touch with over 110 teams attending the event!
Lots of fun was had and experience gained by players and coaches as teams continue to prepare for QLD Junior State Cup. The BMTA Mustangs were a force to be reckoned with, featuring in 10 Grand Finals among the 17 divisions offered at the event winning 5 of those. Gold Coast was strong as always with 4 Grand Final wins while Toowoomba took home 3 division titles.
There were many highlights throughout the day but the 3v3 drop-off between Gold Coast and Toowoomba was a delight to watch as both sides gave their all in front of a large crowd. The skill and maturity on display was fantastic to see from such young boys, with Gold Coast securing the win after a marathon drop-off.
Thank you to the Redlands TA staff and committee led by Mark Jansson on the day who had a huge job on their hands with a record number of teams and spectators to cater for. Thank you to our event referees of all levels, many of whom gained great experience at their first tournement of this kind.
The Titans Junior Series now heads out west again for the Falcons Cup at Ipswich on Sunday May 30 before returning coastside for the finale at Palm Beach Touch on Sunday, June 13.
