Junior Sharks Ready for NYC 2020

The South Queensland Sharks will be represented by 190 excited players, coaches, referees and staff at the 2020 National Youth Championships starting today at Sunshine Coast Stadium with finals being held on Saturday October 3.

The new look format for the competition features six regions from across Queensland with interstate teams unfortunately unable to participate due to border restrictions. Although the event will look a little different this year due to COVID-19 and its impact across sport, that will not dampen the enthusiasm of the many Sharks debutants spread throughout what is the largest junior Sharks contingent ever formed.

South Queensland hold a proud record at National Youth Championships and Junior State Championships events and will be in contention in a number of divisions and most likely fighting it out for the coveted ‘Champion Permit’ for the overall club championship trophy.

Good luck to all participants at the 2020 NYC event and most importantly, have fun! Thank you to Touch Football Australia and all of the event team for their efforts in hosting the tournament during these unique times.
