In the hope that the Junior State Championships and National Youth Championships will go ahead in September on the Sunshine Coast, applications for South Queensland Sharks junior coaching staff positions are now open. Given the nature of the current social and sporting landscape, many details are still to be confirmed but we must move ahead with plans in the possibility that the Junior Sharks teams will be able to compete in 2020.
Boys and girls teams would be selected for these events in the following age groups:
U/12 - Born 2008/09
U/14 - Born 2006/07
U/16 - Born 2005/04
U/18 - Born 2003/02
Details of the trial, nomination and selection process for players and teams will be announced soon.
The South Queensland Sharks have an incredibly proud record at both Junior State Championships and National Youth Championships and we hope to bring together a strong coaching staff to give ourselves the best chance of winning the overall championship titles at these prestigious events in 2020.
