The National Youth Championships and Touch Football Australia will be held in Kawana on the Sunshine Coast from Wednesday 29th September to Saturday 2nd October 2021.
South Queensland Sharks will be sending Junior Representative teams in the following divisions:
- 12 Girls, 12 Boys, 14 Girls, 14 Boys, 16 Girls, 16 Boys, 18 Girls & 18 Boys.
- Development Teams may be sent based on trial numbers in each division. This decision will be made by the SQBD Technical Panel in consultation with the board and coaching staff. Click here to see our NYC 2021 Sharks coaching staff line up.
To be eligible to trial for South Queensland Sharks players must be financial members of QTF and must be registered at an SQBD Affiliate during the period outlined in the event Conditions of Entry; Season 2, 2020 and Season 1, 2021.
Player selection trials will be held on Sunday 18th July 2021 at Palm Beach Touch Football. Trial information regarding times and divisions will be available closer to the event to those that fill out the expression of interest form. All players must attend the trial or have submitted a written dispensation to SQBD outlining the extenuating circumstances preventing the player from trialling. e.g. medical.
Trial Times:
U12 Boys - 9:00am to 11:30am
U12 Girls - 9:00am to 11:30am
U14 Boys - 9:00am to 11:30am
U14 Girls - 9:00am to 11:30am
U16 Boys - 1:00pm to 3:00pm
U16 Girls - 1:00pm to 3:00pm
U18 Boys - 1:00pm to 3:00pm
U18 Girls - 1:00pm to 3:00pm
It is expected that players and their families will arrange their own transport and accommodation for the event. A Sharks tournament levy, uniform and registration will be additional costs to be confirmed with applicants before the selection trials.
